God filled me with the Holy Ghost

We as christians have a blessed promise.
I had been seeking the Baptism in the Holy Ghost diligently (Ask and it shall be given you, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you)
Then , it was in the evening on Easter Sunday (you know.. a few months ago)
I was praying by my bed side, and Jesus baptised me in the Holy Ghost and fire , just as we read in the book of Acts. I knew I had been filled for the Holy Ghost spoke through me in tounges I knew not ( Acts chapter 2) It was a humbling, but empowering experience. Living as a christian, the difference is like night and day.
I encourage all believers to seek this blessed promise that Jesus commanded us to have !
It's a GIFT!! A free gift! All we have to do is ask and seek and seek and God will honor that!!
Yield to him and he will fill you with a river overflowing, he will give you JOY UNSPEAKABLE!

I have prayed for it a long time too...6 years almost..
do u have anything to say to me?any advice?

Well as a human I feel so inatiquate to give Biblical advice. All I can say is it's go to be your #1 desire. Be willing to spend entire nights praying, waiting. I don't understand why God does the things he does all of the time, I just know that when he gives a promsie, he will answer.
I think sometimes God holds back a blessing, because when we do get it, it'll be so much better.
I had prayed off and on for years for the blessing , but it wasn't untill the desire totally consumed me that I was filled.
And ask others to pray for you. If you read in Acts, some people were filled when the apostles or deciples laid their hands on a person. But this wasn't the case for me. I was alone in my room. But i'll join with you in pray and know that I'll keep praying that God will fill you with the Holy Spirit. You'll stay in my prayers untill you are filled.

yea i have heard most of those things already, but i just need to make them real for myself.
sometimes i pray and its like the only thing i want and desire...
but when i go away empty i feel discouraged..and then the next time its harder to have faith..
i kinda feel like theres this tiny scar on my heart, a hurt that hasn't been completely healed...and thats why its so hard for me to have complete faith without any doubt.
please pray for that too

I thought that when we are Christians we are already filled with the Holy Spirit? Then what is Baptism of the Holy Spirit?

i know how you feel. really i do. i have been praying to be baptised in the Holy Spirit for 6 years now. And it hasnt happened. first i thought maybe i was too young and that the Lord thought the gift was too mature for me or something like that. but as i got older, i got more desperate. and people would pray for me and lay hands on me and nothing was happening. and then because other people were involved i started to get embarassed so my whole heart and mind wasnt on God. and then i thought something was wrong with me!
then a week ago i was at a conference and we were taking the time to pray for spiritual gifts, and can you believe that i actually had a feeling of dread!! how insane! to make things worse someone came and laid hands on me. i remember my prayer brilliantly. i think i basically said to God that i was fed up of doubting Him, and that although i don't want to test Him, i need to feel His presence. I NEED to know. and i prayed like that for 10-20 minutes, and then...
i fell in the Holy Spirit.
Sure it's not tongues, but i felt Him didn't I!

so i agree with Glory. when u really want it, He will give it to you. i think it's like He wants You to know that you want it. He can see our hearts, but sometimes we can't lol!
