Believes that believing is more than a belief

When you first register, you go through a phase called 'validating'. During this period of time, the staff looks at the profile you submitted and learns a bit about you. During this time your abilities as a member are very restricted, and not being able to post in other forums is one of the abilities that the staff must enable. Though I could state many of the reasons for the validation phase, simply put it is for the safety of the members on this board. In answer to the next question, it is through the User CP that you are able to apply for membership into these groups. On the left side after you click the link and the page loads, you see a category called 'Your Profile' with things like 'Edit your Details' in it. Right below that category is 'Networking'. It is in that category that you are able to view and apply to two kinds of groups. One is the social groups, and these are groups created by members on this board for the purpose of getting to know others who share similar interests, problems, or even locations. The other type of group is created by the staff, and has a forum to go along with it. Examples are Young Men, Young Women, The Agape Entourage and Mature Interests. There are over a dozen of these groups and each one is unique and covers much area in its' variety of topics. To be approved for either of these types of groups, the one who is in charge of the group must accept your application. Hope this helps! God Bless,

Hi, I'm glad you are a member here at the forum. I don't know what boards you are having trouble posting in. I really hope that you answer back soon so I can help you better. Yes, all people, no matter if they are registered or not, can post on this forum. However, you are not unregistered. You are registered. There isn't a problem with things. Your membership has been approved, and you should be able to post with no problem. So, the only thing I can ask is this -- what boards are you trying to post on? Please, please let us know this. I can do everything I can to help you if I know that information. Quote:
Okay, these private study groups -- Steven gave you great advice about this. He's not wrong in anything he said. (appreciate that, Steven). However, let me just add to this. All of the boards that are marked "private" all have different descriptions and requirements to be able to post on them. There are a couple of categories within these groups -- 1) Staff-created groups (that usually have specific requirements) --Fire Fighters -- this is a subforum that talks about evangelism and witnessing to others. You can share your stories, get advice, and share tips and encouragement with others. In order to be a member of this board, you must have AT LEAST 25 posts. The only reason for this is so that staff is able to know a little more about you. We just want to get to know you better. --Mature Interests -- This subforum discusses the most serious topics (sex, drugs, and so on). Things that may not be appropriate to discuss with people that are too young. We require that you are at least 16 years old and have at least 25 posts on the site. --Serious Health Problems -- This subforum is devoted to encouragement and discussion of some very serious (usually chronic) health problems. For the moment, the people that are members on here are those that do suffer from these problems. It is a way to talk with people that TRULY understand what it means to be sick most of the time. --Young Men/Young Women -- These are subforums that are pretty much self explanatory. It's just to have men-only or women-only discussions. That's all it is. --Sewn to the Hip is a group for those that are engaged and Dead Man Walking is a group for those that are 18 or older and are married. 2) Cell Groups --These are groups that are just exactly what they say they are. They are all cell groups -- accountability groups -- bible study and prayer and other things may go on. All the three cell groups are different. The two that are active currently have descriptions on the site. Found here: Group :: The Agape Entourage :: Leader(s) - AliveInHim Group :: The Kindness Cohort :: Leader(s) - Brandi That completely answer your question. Of course, the way that Steven told you how to join is correct. If you wish to join one of them, you may, but sometimes it can take a bit for people to respond BECAUSE we want to get to know you beforehand. Amanda Forum Administrator
