How do you know that Spirit is talking to you?

The Holy Spirit is our Guide, the One who is helping us to work,do or act in accordance to God's will..
But some, lacking spiritual sensitivity, do not sense the intervention of the holy Spirit in our daily affairs..
I believe that the Holy Spirit touch us and talk to us in different ways, with me, mostly in internal revelations or when i overlooked some things, He uses the right persons such as my spiritual counselors..
How about you?

Well, have you ever tried to define the difference in your concience and your convictions? In that definition lies your answer. If you feel like some thing is wrong, its probally your concience. If you feel its wrong while you are doing it, or before so, and its not "wrong" per se, then it's probally your convictions, which is one way the Holy Spirit speaks to us. I have been spoken to ought right, In visions while praying and by a "still, small voice" that was reinforced by others with no recollection or possible way of knowing what was happening that I need to hear from God for. But don't "limit" God. He will use what he needs to in order to reach you. Your job is to just keep listening, no matter what distractions satan throws at you. "If you seek, you will find." Proverbs 3:6 "In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." But whatever method he uses, you will know. 100% you will know. Satan will throw doubt in your mind after you know, but hold fast that God's word is truth and will never go back on his word. NEVER!

I usually will hear God during prayer, when I'm really really into it and my mind, body and soul are all involved in it. I bet that sounds crazy, but I'll either hear a voice saying what to do, or get a feeling to read a certain verse. I feel... weird if I don't find the verse.

Sometimes, I get feeling down my spine, and I know God is right there with me. I LOVE that feeling, especially since I forget it now and then.

just ask the lord to open your ears to hear waht he is saying and always test it wit the word of God. listen. be still. and then obey. =)

Answers to a lot of the questions we have are right in the Bible

Psalm 119:105
"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path."

John 10:35b
"...to whom the word of God came—and the Scripture cannot be broken—"
--Jesus uses "word of God" and "Scripture" interchangeably

Psalm 119:9,11
"How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to Your word. ... I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You."

God's advice will never go against the Bible. If you think you get an answer to prayer that is contradictory to the Bible, it's not God speaking!
