I plan on voting for McCain/Palin.

My reasons are for one thing I don't trust Obama, nor do I think he's experienced enough.

Other reasons: McCain is closest to my beliefs, about the only thing I disagree with is the fact that he supports embryonic stem cell research.

It's said that if you're not a liberal when you're young, you have no heart, and that if you're not a conservative when you're older, you have no head. I just think that is funny.

I am very much a conservative, not because of the people who are conservatives, but because I agree with the conservative position on ninety percent of political issues. I've read some of Thomas Sowell's books, and they are the basis for my understanding of economics. In the local elections I've participated in, I said that I would vote for the candidate that explained most extensively what he intended to do in office. In the cases where this was applicable (i.e. where I actually knew anything at all) this person was conservative.

McCain is probably the least conservative person the GOP could have nominated, but I will vote for him anyway because he has explained better than Obama has what he intends to do in office.

My Vote: McCain/Palin

Frankly I believe that if anyone in this country deserves to be President it's John McCain. After hearing from Fred Thompson's biographical speech about what McCain went through for more than 5 years in Vietnam for this country I was convinced that even though I don't agree with all of his political stances that HE is a true American who loves my country and will do anything to protect it. (You can view Thompson's speech on You Tube...someone uploaded it into 3 parts.)

Palin is an awesome woman who I am proud to enthusiastically cheer for! She has electrified this election especially for women. I'm a fangirl what can I say?

I will most likely be voting for McCain/Palin.

Esther, or anyone wanting to know more about McCain's history, I encourage you to watch the documentary "Return with Honor". It's about being tortured in Vietnam, and has real footage of the captures. The entire documentary is narrated by interviews with the former POWs, including John McCain. It's one of my favorite movies of all time.

One thing these men said is that everyone has a breaking point. That statement is amazing to me because you hear of Christians being horrifically tortured for their beliefs even to the point of death, yet they stand firm. The only possible explanation for that is God, because these men were soldiers highly trained to stand up under torture and they nobly gave every possible effort towards resisting.

Sorry if it's a little off topic, but I hope it was worth it for someone.

I will vote for Obama, he matches my views the closest ( i would have gone for Ron Paul but he dropped out) He has large tax breaks for lower income familys, he has not flip flopped like McCain has (or as much as McCain has ~see McCains views in 02 and compare them to now) He has a decent (tho not perfect) health Care Plan, and he will help protect a womans right to BirthControl and decisions based on what she feels is best for her.

I will vote McCain / Palin, I'm not for sure that I approve of some of his viewpoints, however he is far more conservative then the other options.

I've read a lot about Palin here lately, and I think very highly of her.

I'm going to vote for McCain. He isn't the person that I wanted for president. I wanted Huckabee. McCain is the next best thing. McCain has been a pow and has seen war and knows what war is like. Barack has no experience and has never and will never see war, yet alone would want to see it.
