Antivirus

What antivirus software do you run on your computer? For me I use Mcafee, I don't like Norton at all, and I also use AVG(free).

*sidenote* I hope that everyone is using some type of antivirus software (and firewall)

. Althought it won't 100% protect you, nothing will...

so you should have something.

right now i'm using avg free. avast and antivir are also stellar antivirus programs available for free for home use.

Don't install more than one antivirus program on your computer unless you know what you're doing though, because that can cause conflicts. A great option for checking out your computer without installing anything (and avoiding conflicts or other issues) is running an online scan. You'll find several on the website below. You might also want to pick up an antispyware program if you don't have one. Adaware, spybot, and microsoft antispyware are all good.

McAfee, and I have AOL spyware stuff so that's what I do for spyware/antivirus software

I use..ah hem..I mean my mom because once again I am not tech saavy, uses adaware and Norton, I think adaware is pretty neat. hehe

I have PC-cellin(?) but I use Mcafee. I hate Norton for the fact that it uses so much RAM.

I also use AdAware-that's a great program.

I was also using Microsoft's Anti-Spyware, but ever since I reformatted I havnt re-installed it.

I typically use Norton internet security and eTrust pest patrol for spyware... I liked adaware - if only it would actually find the really 'bad' stuff... (keyloggers etc..)

i use this little program that some of my buddies wrote up. ( go software engineers!!! ) i wrote some of the code, but to have a antivirus written by hackers and virus writers i think is the way to go. getting off of internet explorer and using another browser such as firefox or opera is also a good way to avoid much of the security risks.
