Paint Shop Pro vs. Photoshop

Which one do you prefer: Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop? Why?

Personally I'm using P.S.P.7 but that is because I'm only a teen and I'm on a pretty tight budget. To me, though, it seems like Photoshop is the more "official" program. One day (hopefully in the near future) I'll be switching to it.

I love PS. (I have the CS version) I use to have a trial version of PSP on my computer it came with it. To me it was TOTALLY confusing. With PS it wasn't confusing and easy to use. That's the only thing I can compare with PS and PSP. Another thing is that you're able to transfer PSP brushes to PS. (I know that it was b/c adobe didn't give the PSP people the program names so that brushes would be able to transfer, but it's so easy!)
Ok now I'm just babbling.... as usual

For Anointed Youth I mainly use Fireworks, mostly because it integrates well into Dreamweaver. But I'm learning Photoshop and I love it as far as photos are concerned.

I know what you mean. It took me a long time to figure out PSP but now I have it down pretty good. One thing I definately don't like about PSP, though, is when you upgrade to a newer version almost everything is in different spots and I can't re-figure it out so it's not even worth upgrading.

I've never tried Fireworks before; I'll have to look into it.

Fireworks sounds great. I need to take a look at that.

Personally I prefer PS, never really tried PSP, though. And with some of the packages Adobe sells, PS can become pretty handy.

If you are use to PS then Fireworks may not be all that great . I just like it because it integrates into Dreamweaver but, PS has a lot more features than fireworks.

Totally Photoshop CS2. I love it. Actually I love that my company gave me a new PC with 2GB of ram and dual monitors to support it. I told them that 1GB of ram for Photoshop just wouldn't do (they actually believed me).

Photoshop all the way, I use it for all my graphic needs. It's a bit complicated off the get go but once you learn you just cant' beat it. I highly recommend it.

I have the full version on PSP 8 and I love it. It was pretty easy to learn because I found some online tutorials that helped a lot.

I had the trial of PS and I just couldnt get the hang of it. I would like to learn it some day, but for now I will stick with what I know!
