No. No sin is able to separate you from God, and you don't need to specifically ask forgiveness for each sin to be forgiven. That means suicide is just like any other sin, and can't separate you from your salvation.

Adding on to the hypocrisy, the Believers among us WHO DON'T keep their pants zipped still declare themselves to be "holy" because their intentions are directed towards the opposite sex.

Actually all sin seperates us from God...where did you get that bro? and there is even the unforgivable sin...blaspheming the Holy Spirit...which many believe is denying life He has given you and His hope with killing yourself...

Not exactly. ALL sin seperates you from God. Only through Jesus can we go to heaven. And you actually DO need to specifically ask forgiveness for each sin. I mean, once I sin, I do as well, both to God and to the person I sinned against. It makes it so that you are ACKNOWLEDGING you're sin, so that you probably won't do it again (hopefully )

But you are correct that we don't have to specifically ask forgiveness for each sin for it to be forgiven. God forgives you for all of your sins (after you become a Christian) and cleanses you from all of them. That's why I say that you should confess your sin to God, even though he already knows about it, because, the way I picture it, he will wipe that sin away, and make you clean again.

I agree with you that suicide can't seperate you from your salvation, but that is just my belief. None of us really know what will happen afterwards (whether God will send you to heaven or hell). I mean, think about it. You are destroying the life that God GAVE you. But, as I said, I don't know for sure. But I definitely don't want to try it and find out in that way!!!

Committing suicide is a thought-out, willful decision to sin...SUICIDE IS SIN and SIN SEPARATES YOU FROM God. JUST DON'T DO IT. It's wrong and is not what God wants, and if anyone wants to chance going to hell for it 'cause they don't wanna lean on the Lord for their strength to get through life, then that's their problem when they end up in hell. Simple. JUST DON'T DO IT. Don't send yourself to hell. That's what I believe. I think a person who commits suicide will go to hell. It's just all stupid. No one needs to kill themselves. God's there.

Here's my thoughts...

Only God truly knows what sin will send us to Hell. Although the Bible is clear on the fact that you do not have to ask forgiveness to be forgiven, still the fact remains that if you are saved then you will WANT to be forgiven.

We've debated this many times in my youth group and I've always replied that I don't believe that you'll go to hell. I've asked my pastor and he said no because there is only one unforgivable sin which is blashphamy (sp) of the Holy Spirit. But we've always had conflicting answers.

I could go into a long drawn out thing of why I think the way I do but it would bring up alot of things I don't wish to talk about so I'll leave you guys with that.

If I remember correctly, my high school Bible teacher told me the same thing. I totally agree with you on this one..

I dont really know, I think Bombinadam1403 is probably right.

But I do know suicide is a sin. God gave you life and he bought you with a price. By taking your life you are challenging God over his property, and you are out of your league.

I dont think the issue one should focus about is if it takes us to hell or not, but rather, if we go to heaven after such an act what the consequences would be, (since the only reason for the question really is to feel safe in the thought of still going to heaven).

Not only would you have realized how wrong and awful his/her sin was, but one would have also missed the incredible plan had his/her your life, and missed the oportunity to follow it. So there is no way you would want to take your life even if you do go to heaven. And if you do, your rewards will be much less, (as much as "rewards" should not be an issue).

Id like to finish my post with the concept that knowing that by committing suicide one misses out on so much, challenges God, and exerts rights over something that doesnt even belong to him/her, (our body's are the temple of the Holy Spirit), I wonder... would God really say "Well done, thou good and faithful servant"?

I agree with Bombinadam1403 and KeepingtheFaith, however, i think that one can go to heaven if one commits suicide, because one can still ask forgiveness (like, if after they're already dying, and they say one last prayer). So, in that case, i think that its possible

I dont understand how anyone would want to take their life though. Theres so much to live for. I know several suicidal people, i hate seeing how they're so willing to throw it all away. God has an awsome plan for everyone, and it'll def be worth it all in the end.
