Challenges # 2...lol

Well...God Rox - Aisha in other words...one of my teachers and another one of my friends have set me up with a challenge of not swearing for 1 week...like and that may sound EASY to all you guys but its not for me...this is one of my BIGGEST problems...along with getting angry a lot due to buitlt up anger inside me and low self-esteem doenst help...but anyway...iit has been going on for just over a week and I have had to start it again everyday...lol...It seems so impossible but i REALLY want to show them and everone else that Fear and Anger arnt going to get the betta of me...but like I said...it just seems so hard...

come on janey u can do this i believe in u and believe u can do tis challenge, why can u see that. lol, we set u this challenge for a reson and its to challenge u, and i really do believe u can do this, u just need to try!!! it will be hard but yea, my challenges were hard and i did them, and still strugge with them, so u can do this.

i luvs u lots and no u can do this

Lol...Aisha talked to me bout it the other day @ her house telling me that it is NOT impossible and all this stuff...and its been 2 days since I have been angry n sworn and stuff like that...lol...sounds petty but its kool cuz it means im transforming myself into a betta person!!

I did something very similar to your challenge. Other than I used money as a way to help me see how many times I was swearing. I would put a penny in a jar for everytime I said or thought of swearing. It took me about 2 weeks tilll I have sooo many penny's in the jar and I realized I was swearing a lot. So I started putting nickels in and after one week I was able to stop swearing. I took the money and gave it to some kids for lunch money so they wouldn't go hungry. I know you can overcome this battle. I will be praying for you. Just keep on trusting in the Lord and ask for his help.

I know you can do this wwjd? because I struggled with cursing after I got saved too. I also had an anger problem and I had low self esteem too so I can relate. You just need to ask the Holy Spirit for strength to overcome these things. The Lord will strengthen you to overcome these things because Philippians 4:13 says,"I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." Also you need to know that you are beautiful and of great worth and value. You are made in the image of God and are being conformed to Christ's likeness. (Genesis 1:27, Romans 8:29) You are sooooo valuble that God had to come down and die to save your soul. AND when you weren't living for God He looked down from heaven and saw you in your problems and desired to draw you unto himself. What helps me to heighten my self esteem are verses in the bible that deal with it. If you want them, here are some: Romans 8:15-17, 8:37, Philippians 4:13, Psalms 139:14, Jeremiah 1:5, Ephesians 1:2-6.

I know it sounds funny wwjd? but I used to have the same problem too, until I realised that with a little faith it wasn't too hard to stop. Aisha and I believe in you and we know that with some help from your friends and from God that you can do it. If we thought this impossible Aisha and me wouldn't have challenged you to do this.

Maybe we could think of a substitute for when you stick to it... maybe something you liked when you reach your goal, I dont know does this sound very good?
