something I find encouraging

"But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed
thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
"When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee." (Isaiah 43:1, 2)
It's comforting enough to know that we are God's! That we belong to God!
And God takes care of what belongs to Him! I mean, if we have something that is precious and invaluable to us, we would protect it and take care of it.
How much moreso would God protect and take care of us! He loves us with a pure, unconditional love! And no matter what we go through, no matter how low the valley may be, God is RIGHT THERE with us continuing to protect and watch over that which belongs to Him. You may feel lost and as if no one cares, but God knows right where you are! You may feel as if you're just trudging through, but it is God Who is carrying you! Do not rely on your own strength; you are the clay; He is the Potter. He will take all the broken, confusing pieces and put them together. He will make out of the mess a beautiful vessel of honor for Him and for His glory. He will make a mirror that will reflect His face of love. He will give beauty for ashes! Why? Because YOU ARE HIS, and He promises to never leave you nor forsake you. He gave His life for you, and you are on His mind constantly! He is always thinking of you and He knows exactly where you are and what you are going through. He knows your situation, whatever it may be. So take comfort in His Word and in His love. Perhaps continue reading in that chapter! Isaiah is such a wonderful book of the Bible. I find lots of comfort in it, especially in Isaiah 41:10, 13, and 14. Remember to encourage yourself in the Lord!
