Leadership.

Sometimes I cannot understand the grace of God..
Sometimes when people are really frustrated and upset with the church..I think it is so easy for us to come and bash leadership, especially our own. And that was definently what I did. There was one pastor specifically, and I look on it now and I cant believe I did..what I did. But I used to gossip, and slander him like heck. And my heart breaks at the mention of my sin. My church leadership has blessed me crazily. I have been a Christian for two years, my mom and dad arent that strong in the faith as in I dont really know where they stand exactly. And there is one pastor on the pastoral team at my church, that I am basically gonna brag a bit about because he has really really blessed me.

When I first entered into the church, I had no friends and it took me a loooong time to make friendships. One weekend I went on this retreat..and he made sure that the other girls were introduced to me. I was painfully shy and this meant a lot. A year or later down the road God gave me a passion. And he basically gave this thing to me and told me to run with it. I got to speak in front of youth and young adults..who were pretty much all older than me. He would pass me the microphone having no idea what would come out of my mouth..but somehow trusting me. Him and another pastor..have received my poetry for almost two years now, sometimes getting up to 4-5 emails a week from me..that is a lotta emails..but they still read everyone and to this day that means so much to me. The leadership in general, financially have given to me life greatly..including..paying 400 dollars for me to take a creative writing course because they believed in my gift, blessing me with a CD, paying for counselling up to as much as 300 dollars and more to come. Can I say, wow.
Theres this other story and I am going to tell it, because I think its pretty funny. I was in church one Sunday morning..and they told me that I could not go on this missions trip. And I bawled and bawled and bawled..I am sitting in the front row. And they do that thing where they say something like, "Shake hands of 10 people" or whatever. So I guess my eyes are pretty red and puffy from crying so much. So this pastor comes up to me and our conversation goes like this:

Hey Ashley
Hey
How are you?
Good how are you?
Good.
You dont have pink eye do you?
No I was just crying.

But the thing was it made me smile and it made me laugh..

ThenI was in a meeting with them the other night and they just love me and that means the world to me. I dont know but as they were talking they said seven words that have touched me deeply and I dont know why they do as much as they do..maybe I dont get told it that much or something I dont know but they said:

Ashley, I am proud of you.

God thank you for knowing my heart and knowing what I needed to hear and fully intervening. People arent perfect, praise God that we arent, may we have mercy on all people.

I wanna hear testimonies of how your leadership have touched your life.

Hmm. My first pastor that I had gave awesome Bible grounding messages. So I learned the Word well. But my Pastor now has really made an impact on my life. He is the one who supports me and my missions. He's the one who encouraged me to get involved more with kids and teens. And he's the one who is trusting me enough to be in charge of the youth group. He is the only male influence that has been like a spiritual father to me. I love him so much and respect him too.

My brother in law is a worship leader...

He has touched me by his all-out abandon to God.

If he is in front of 20,000 people, he still does what God tells him.
He went to this Baptist church, and was leading worship, and God said, "Dance before Me."
So Hunter starts dancing on stage, not caring what people think of him.

Hunter has helped me out of my shyness... and into Christ-like boldness.

So one day, when we're all in heaven, stop by for a moment, and you gotta meet him... (unless he's dancing! lol)
