Unhappy Hindu Friend

One of my best friends has decided she is Hindu. I don't know anything about this religion, and I'm pretty sure she doesn't either. We don't have anywhere in our city that teaches about Hinduism, so she's learning everything from the internet. My other Christian friends and I have tried talking to her about it, but she is very defensive and says all Christians are hypocrites. She says that she has tried going to church already. But I believe she went with a closed heart and already decided that she wouldn't let it help her. Any advice on how to handle this??

Thats a really difficult situation. ALl I can say is just love her unconditionally, which I am sure you already do. Dont try to convince her or pressure her..but just rewally love her. Maybe when she sees that you guys are Christians and not hypocritical or cruel..her heart may change. I would also really pray for her, God does answer prayer.

I have a friend who comes from a Hindu family.
For your friend... did she say WHY she has decided to be Hindu? Try talking to her and just seeing things from her perspective. Try to understand what she's thinking and what led her to this.
She is right about one thing, many who claim to be Christians are hypocritical. Show her different
Spend time reading the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) and let the character of Jesus become your own. God STILL answers prayer, and He'll help ya with this too!!

Keep praisin!!

Hey hun, the best thing you can do is just live the life...show her that you're not one of those hypocrites...and be willing and open to share your faith with her, but don't shove it down her throat...if she's having a bad day, offer to pray for her, or just let her know that she's in your prayers...and most importantly, don't forget, the word won't return void. both you and your friend are in my prayers. God bless.
love

Set the example. If she knows your a GOOD Christian then she'll think "wow those Christians are some darn good people maybe I should think about becoming one" You be the model of her life, just maybe you'll be the reason for a convert.
