question for the guys

Ok my question is this alot of guys/girls have talked about modesty. What I wold like to know is what do guys consider modest? I know for myself I try to be modest sometimes I fall though. I think the is a very thin line between modest and not modest and I would like to hear some guys opinions on where that line lies. What makes a guy lust? I really want to avoid this but sometimes it's quite hard to know what is or is not appropriate. Thanx

I'm not sure what I would consider modest. Probably what you see as modest would be what I see as such. As to what makes a guy lust I doubt that you will be able to prevent that completely.

Okay. First of all, all guys are different. Some guys could stare at a girl in a skimpy bikini for hours and not be bothered; others would stumble over a girl in a fur parka and snow pants. So you are never going to keep all guys everywhere from lusting over you, because, well, that's impossible. So what's the line between modest and immodest? My opinion is that modesty is more of a matter of mind than of body. That is, you can dress in long sleeves and pants all the time and still be immodest, simply because you're dressing to attract some kind of attention to yourself. As for actual clothing, anything that covers all of your body, at least half of your legs length-wise, and at least your shoulders should be safe.

I think that Body languge makes alot of a differance. If you have alot of self respect it shows. demolition man's bounderies should be safe enough, i'd say if your dressing that modestly and they still lust over you they have a problem.

i think girls should wear long skirts, havve shirts covering up there whole chest and no makeup and long hair...im pentecostal...

I'm so glad you think women should not be "exploited" by their clothes, and have them be "natural" the way God made 'em!

BTW, I'm Pentacostal too, except I wear some make-up. lol

I believe that girls should wear skirts at least to the knee WHILE sitting. Shirts that cover chest and over shoulders, no makeupm jewelry unless like wedding ring, and uncut hair, i too am pentecostal its hard enough for us guys try to make it a little easier on us haha

Wow I dont know about no makeup and jewelry, sounds a little extreme. But yeah generally if you a wearing a short skirt you are not doing a guy any favours, same with tight revealing top. Just be a little wise about what you are wearing.

What is wrong with pants?? Even modest ones,
I think that it's a combo of the guys CHOOSING to look away, and girls, it's our responsibility to keep our guys focused away from these areas. But the burden is not totally on us. It is a 2 way street.

trust me going from "the world" into church seeing girls wearing pants vs. skirts..its a huge difference..when girls wear pants is easier to see then it is wearing skirts...skirts look alot better on girls anyways...long ones...and no make up is huge too...the true beauty is everything...PENTECOSTAL GIRLS ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL...im not saying other girls aint but there is somethin about a Pentecostal girl...imma marry me one someday..LORD WILLING..if he dont return before hand...
