Edit Prophet/Prophetess ![]() | problems w/ boys again... okay, i am getting sick of this! its like every boy in my neighborhood looks at me as their future spouse. i am the only christian teen girl in our area. so i run into lots of problems. i can't even leave the house without a guy making eyes at me. i don't know what to do. i told all of them to back off and leave me alone, but it didn't work. i'm threatening to move to Alaska if they don't stop...

Edit Prophet/Prophetess ![]() | i don't know. i've never had the problem of a bunch of guys liking me. one guy, yeah, but not an entire neighborhood. I guess you could just wear extremely modest clothes to not give any of them the wrong idea, and then just make sure that they understand you don't want a boyfriend. something along those lines, i guess

Edit Disciple ![]() | hey the only thing to tell you to do is just get used to it....and don't move to alaska....lol i'm not trying to make that sound mean or anything but it's something i had to learn to do. not every guy makes eyes at me but i do get hit on quite a bit at times and it really bothered for awhile but i just got used to it.there are always going to be guys that are going to do that so....yeah but also take everyone else's advice and pray, if you're not dressing modestly do that....and that's about all you can do...hope it helps good luck Sarah <>< |

Edit AY! Newbie ![]() | Hun, I feel your pain! You know, the only thing more painful than unrequited love is unwanted requited love! Yes, that's right. I think it's far more difficult to deal with guys liking me than with liking guys who don't feel the same way. I think the only way to go about it is to treat them all the same, be sure you aren't being too flirtacious (believe me, I know it can be unintentional!), and to just not let it bother you. Do not positiviely reciprocate the actions that make you uncomfortable, even if you don't know what else to do. And you know, a lot of times it's probably unintentional on their part. Edit Prophet/Prophetess ![]() | Boy I wish I had that problem. I'm over weight. I look 7 years younger then what I am, People say I'm cute rather then pretty ( I hate that) so I would love for guys to want me as their future wife. But it's not happening. The last guy who wanted to marry me turned out to be a perverse pig.

Edit Prophet/Prophetess ![]() | but i do dress modest! i don't even wear pants, and my clothes are so loose!! my mom always tells me "you have too good of a figure, and you are too pretty to show it(my figure!)" what ever that means?!! so my clothes don't reveal anything. skirts always to the ankle, shirts to my neck, etc..

Edit Prophet/Prophetess ![]() | Pray about it...it's tough when things get that way. Surprisingly enough, I have had similar problems...*shrug* it's hard. I have let down a lot of guys who have told me that they were in love with me. But you see, it doesn't matter if your clothes are loose...if you're resonating the love of Christ, guys are gonna notice you...and guys are gonna be attracted to that (a lot of them will be anyway). Just really, really keep the focus on God and in time He'll send all the onlookers packing and send you the one that you are meant to be with for the rest of your life! *hugs* |
