Depends. If you're hunting for sport, yes. If you're hunting for survival, maybe. If you would surely die if you didn't eat an animal then no. Fur I don't agree with, at all.

Sure.
Why not?
I can see how it's a problem if you're taking joy in the fact that you're causing pain or in the fact that you're killing, but aside from that....

But they're also creatures of God, and we should be treating them with the most respect possible, especially since they're on the food chain. Hunting for sport and wearing fur is not respecting the animals.

According to Genesis it's not wrong to wear animal skins (fur) or to kill animals for food. However, this is due to the curse... and it's a section of the curse that I don't feel obligated to live by. I can do just fine without eating meat or wearing fur, so I don't.

Humans were the only ones created in the image of God, not animals.
Also, God told Noah "Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs." (Genesis 9:3)

Yes, I know what the Bible has to say about it, thank you.

I'm vegan, and an animal rights activist, but I realize we're higher on the food chain than many animals. I don't see a problem with eating the meat, as long as you do it respectfully. That means NOT buying from factory farms or wearing fur or leather for "fashion".

God gave us this Earth to take care of. Sure, God didn't create animals in His image, but that doesn't mean we should take them for granted. Native groups for example would use the entire animal, pray for the animal's soul, and do things with the most respect possible. That is the humane way to go about it.

hunting I come from the country and i think i may have a diff opinion than most ppl about this. mayhbe not, i dunno. :P I love to go hunting. and i love guns. You see i come from a place where hunting is used to bring home meat. So in that case I would feel awful and i get real mad at ppl who shoot certain animals for their trophies. But i love hunting, i usually go with my dad and it provides some awesome bonding times. Its also fun when we go with our neighbors or other friends. it provides a necesity...food...and fellowship all at the same time and hilarious stories to tell afterwards. Also tho, when it comes to certain animals, im talking gophers, skunks, badgers, coyotes, foxes, misquitoes, and other bugs and ok weeds arnt animals but hey.... etc. i say kill em! For example with badgers and gophers if we dont kill them they cause major problems with animals such as our cows and horses breaking legs in their holes, yes it does happen, we have lost quite a few animals that way either having to be put down afterwards or they just brake a leg and cant get back up and u find them one day, not very good to loose livestalk. also with coyotes they get hungry and move in and do attack and kill livestalk. so what do i want to live? the livestalk or say aw the poor lil coyote is hungry? uh no...ill kill the coyote thanks.
