Another Question for the dudes...

Ok, well, I was just curious; picture these two scenarios:

1), You meet a girl who is somewhat "heavy." She has this great personality, this huge loving heart, but she's overweight.

2), You meet another girl, but this time she's what you'd call a "babe." She has this great body, but her personality lacks friendlyness, it lacks character.

Now, my question is this.

Which scenario would you choose?

Does weight and looks make up 85 - 95% of a girl's chance at meeting or going out with you? Does a girl have to be skinny as a stick?

Please post as honestly as possible, I would really love to know.

I'm sure all of us girls struggle with our weight and what society calls "beautiful."

Maybe there are people out there who don't judge a book by its cover.

Great question! I'm curious also.

I have never struggled with my weight or looks; actually its hard not to get vain when others are constantly telling you how beautiful you are! But i try... LOL

But many of my friends are over weight. It never bothers me to become friends with an overweight guy; just as long as his heart is pure...

But i shouldn't steal this thread! LOL

Number one. 110% guaranteed. What does it matter if a girl's good-looking, if I couldn't get along with her? Conversely, if I can laugh and have a great time with a gal, the likelihood is that I'll find her at least quite attractive no matter what she looks like.

Sorry, I would walk out on both all-the-same. No personality = nothing; no attractiveness = nothing.

Raptor is correct - at least for most guys.

There has to be some "physical" attraction (usually), which does not mean you have to be thin... some guys find overweight women attractive, some guys can over look the weight in exchange for a better personality.

either way, a guy you end up with IS going to be attracted to you in some form.

But to go JUST on looks - is dumb.... wait 20 -30 years - that BABE probably will not longer be a BABE! Looks alone will make for a cheap and shallow relationship

I don't know what to choose. I can tell you this. I wouldn't choose 2 to marry. Firstly, because physical attraction will wear off. I agree with pastor. at least to some extent. I don't like women who are as skinny as a stick. I know a girl like number 2 and I don't really like her.

Glad to hear it.

Now exactly what is attractiveness? It doesn't necessarily have to be physical either. On the other side, just because you're physically attracted to someone doesn't mean you will run-heads over heals-for the person. But then again, as Youthpastor and justified demonstrated, a girl may be skinny but that isn't going to make someone attracted to her.

On the other hand, I don't necessarily have a standard. You could just say it *clicks* when something should happen.
