Edit Prophet/Prophetess ![]() | Do any of you have any open wounds from past relationships that just won't seem to heal? I do. The other day I was with Cori at my apartment and we had just gone shopping. Her parents gave her this awesome expensive picture of a horse and she asked me if we could put it in our bedroom. I don't know why, but i was reminded of my ex. We used to go horse back riding all the time. Don't get me wrong, I am over her but it still hurts. After I broke up with her, I was depressed for nearly three months. She did a number on me. We botrh started out as Christians but we couldn't keep our hands off each other. I was convicted so I would go to Church and Youth Group to get clean but I wasn't fooling anyone. This went on for nearly 6 months. Then she started cutting and cheating on me so I broke up with her. My heart was raped. But to this day, nearly two years later, I still feel the consequences of that relationship. I feel really bad because now she is acting like a whore. She sleeps around with everyone. But I know deep inside her there is a great person. I never want to get back with her. I am not that stupid. But I feel responsible for the damage done. That painting isn't going in our bedroom once we are married. |

Edit Prophet/Prophetess ![]() | I have been there...I can understand. There are still some things that remind me of past relationships (either dating or even just friends) that have caused me great pain, though I was over the relationship...you can't help but feel some pain from past things not working out the way that it would have been nice for them to. |
