My father....

Hi,
Last night when my dad took us all out for a graduation dinner he was rude to me and his mom (my grandma). This is kind of what went on:

He was yelling at his mom (my grandma). I said to him "DO NOT treat Grandma that way around me. I am 18 and have the right to tell you to stop". He then looked at me and said

"Shut the Hell up. You do not know anything. I've known her longer than you have. You do not tell me what to do." His wife looked at him and said

"Bill (his name), what the hell's gotten into you?" Then he told her to shut up. :blink:

Later on he told me not to talk to him like that again, but I will if he keeps it up. If he keeps this up, I wont see him. I need advice badly....

I cant take much more of this..... I NEED HELP.

im sorry about what ure going through, but like livin said, pray about it, God will help u more then u think.

I'm so sorry, that's awful!
He shouldn't talk to her like that, as her son he was being disrespectful to his mother... on the other hand, you could have said what you said in a nicer fashion.

Just, try to have a "quiet" calm talk with him just between the 2 of you, and work things out, and tell him how you feel.

wow - sounds rough - tho i am a little confused on the people side...This is how i read it....

your dad (?) said to your gran (?) "Do not treat...."

The your dad (?) turned to you (?) and said "Shut the h...."

Then your mum (?) or your dads 2nd wife (?) looked at him asking what got into him

Then your dad (?) told his wife (?) to shut up too.

hmmm, this is just a case of needing so much of God to help you out... i wouldnt know what to do in that situation either. But what i do know is God is walking every step by you and wants to help!

u wanna be careful cause you r older, but still, he is ur father. u might want to apologize to him and next time just ask him to stop saying wat he is saying in a nicer way. and pray about it, but this sort of thing you can fix to a certain extent on ur own.

Im praying for you...

It sounds like my dad and 17 year old sister he gets mad at her for the smallest things but shes only 17 so she cant tell him to do what you told your dad not to do around you with your grandma. I dunno..must be something with 17 and 18 yr olds and their dads....
