Problems with me...

Hey guyz,

I have fallen into the sin of lust so so many times and I can't get out. It just keeps happening...I don't know what to do. Now I don't even like who I am, I know God made me this way but why couldn't he have made me stronger. I just don't know what to do...

I hope you don't mind me responding since I'm a girl. But it was a good step just for you to bring this out and ask for help. Remember in our weakness God's is strong. He will make you stronger if you keep seeking for it. Lust is a sin that many fall into and it can be hard to break but it is breakable. Continue to fill yourself with more good thoughts and thoughts of purity. Don't put yourself in situations where you could lust if possible. And when you feel yourself being tempted pray for self control and strength. God will honor that and you will get stronger.

like desertvoice said, pray for God to help you. He never tempts us with something too hard for us to handle, He will always provide a way out.
you could try this- every time that temptation comes on, think to yourself, 'what if the rapture happened right now, would I want God to see me like this?'
now i know you say, well God can see us all the time (you could think that too) but to see Him face to face right after, or during, doing something sinful, that wouldn't be pretty.

I don't think that i personally struggle with lust the way you do, but that's because i'm only fourteen, and all those raging hormones haven't affected me as much as they probably have for you. But i think i could see what your situation is. Here's what i think you should do... 1 pray and ask God for forgiveness for all of your lusts and all the times you lust during the day...don't let sin pile up on you...trust me i know what it feels like...if your sin piles up you might sin even more under the thought that, oh, well God doesn't love me anymore anyway, so i might as well satisfy my earthly desires...DON'T DO THAT...It's happened to me and it is no fun! 2 This is the really difficult part for us as struggling Christians...We must now Repent...
That means we can't do it again...It's a really difficult thing to do...especailly when it comes to your thoughts....But i've heard it described this way: You can't stop the birds from flying over your head, but you can prevent them from building a nest... this means that you can't stop the thoughts, but you don't have to dwell on them. I think the best thing when it comes to lust, is not to be idle...Idleness is the devil's workshop...Stay active! God is still on your side...he still loves you...he wants to see you win and triumph over temptations...Hope this Helps...Psymind14

Thanks for the suggestions, it is just so hard to resist the temptation, I normaly don't think of those things untill it is too late, then I just pray. Please pray for me if you think about it.

I will pray for you. I can understand a bit where you're coming from...not because I've been there myself, but because I have a lot of guy friends who have. God can help you with this...you just need to be willing to let Him! I hope that things get better...keep on trusting God...He's there to help you!!

Thanks for the prayers, I will try to let him help me. I just always take it into my own hands to deal with it, I need to let him do it.

I want to lose my life(become selfless and live for him) for my Lord so that I may go to live with him for eternity, like it says in Luke 9:24. You can call me what ever you want to but that is the name I like, because it holds more reasons and memories than that.
