Such a painfull situation

Hello everyone, I am a 16 year old, with not to much experience in relationships. I have been crushed a few times, but nothing i couldn't get over. Well I just got into the worste situation so far. I have really liked this girl for over a year now. I have had a crush on her since like the first time I met her, that whole love at first sight thing, lol. Unfortunatly for me, it wasnte mutual. I asked her out on a date and she told me we must have got our signals crossed. anyway here i am a year later, and I have wanted to tell her for the longest time how i feel about her. I pray all the time that she would give e a chance. Well the reason it is so hard is i had a feeling she likes my friend, and i thought i should be quiet a while longer for her sake. Well recently my friend tells me, hey, I think I have a crush on her aswell, and i just wanted to tell you about it before i do anything. So now I am going to confont her one on one, and share my true feelings, and if she tells me she really does like my friend i have no choice but to step aside. I am in a huge mess, and I am so afraid of whats gonna happen. I truely do care about this girl. I am not sure what i am asking, i just need some advice, and some help.

That is so sweet of you to have liked her this long and never give up! I say "Go for it! Tell her how you feel!" If she says she doesn't have any feelings for you, you will be heartbroken, but it'll pass, if she likes your friend, just wish 'em both the best just to be friendly. I really hope it goes good, the way you'd want it to be, but with God you never know? God may have picked someone else to be "your girl", just pray and ask God to show you the right girl, HE wants you to have.

Like CeeCee said, just go for it! If you never tell her how to truly feel, it's going to eat away at you. You have a shot with this girl...and if she doesn't see you as someone that she'd like to date, that's her loss. Don't give up hope. There is someone out there for you..and God has already picked her out and is preparing her to spend the rest of her life by your side. Never give up that hope. I hope that everything works out for you!!

. the thing is, I have been so nervouse, because I have been waiting on this for such a long time, and this is not the way i wanted to share this with her. I was supposed to talk with her after church, but it seems everytime i need to confront her something happens to get in the way. Today it was that her friend was coming over and she had to race home from church to meet her. I just assume that God will show me when the time is right.

But I have another question for you guys, do you think it is selfish to pray for someone to like you, of for someone to have a change of heart. I have spoke with God many times about my situation, but I try never to say, I pray you make her like me, because she is her own person, and a member of the body of christ, and it would be like me asking for her future to be altered to be more favorable for me. What do you think?

Okay, well first of all...everything happens in God's time. If things keep on getting in the way of you telling her how you feel, then maybe it's just not the right time for you to tell her yet. I believe that it's good for you to pray about your situation...I think that you should pray that God's Will will be done. Pray for the best for both you and this girl, and if that means that you aren't to be together, than so be it. I know how hard it can be to give it all over to God and let go of our selfish desires of how we want our lives to go. Give it all to God and He will perfect it...He will do what's best for you...because He has your best interests at heart...so if you give it all over to Him, I can honestly say that the best will come to you...it may not be what you want right now...it may be that she's not the one for you, but only God knows that and He's going to make sure that you have the best later on in life. Just keep up the faith and give it all to God...that's what I have to say!!

I don't think it's selfish, I pray for someone to like me, but if that person ends up not liking me the way I want him too, God has showed me he's not "my man"....

But it could be, I don't know?

God has a purpose.. we can pray for anything.. but i think you can pray and ask God to make you the person God intended you to be.. or to be the person that your future partner will like... we all know that God holds everything in control... its not selfish.... God would be glad that you talked to Him and told Him.....
