Inward Beauty by Beth

I often feel down at nite
I think of things from the past
then thoughts come into mind
i think of my looks, they arent much
but then something tugs at my heart
its God again.

Seems like when im down, He lifts me up
reminding me, He knew me before i was even born
He knows my every thought and every word
spoken before it was even thought of
He knows every strand i have on my head

He knows my hopes and my dreams
the reasons i feel down every once in a while
then he tugs at my heart
reminding me of the simple things in life that bring me up
the many sunsets i've seen
the shooting stars i've seen
For He has not made me to look like everybody else
Or to have the gifts they have
Or to be what they are in this world

He has called me to be me.
To show my inward beauty on the outside
somehow by doing His will
Which is really hard to do at times
but thats why there is inward beauty
we only have one life to live
some live to be 17,60, or 100 years old
some younger then that
So try not to focus on your outside appearance

Try to remember the good in you, and what God has blessed you with, that is inward beauty.

Thank u very much. I've been writing off and on and have a whole book full of poems i've written ok not full yet half way there and quotes i've heard from other ppl.

Thank you! It all goes to God, and hopefully my poetry will be used by Him.

I've had one poem published at poetry.com u guys that write poetry. check out the site sometime. cause sometimes they have contest and u might win. its pretty kool, i've noticed a lot of u guys have some poetry in you. hope to see more of yours. God Bless! and thanks *Beth*

Yeah, but the thing about that is EVERY poem gets published..
