Asking out a girl

There is a girl in my political science class who I am planning to ask out on Monday. I asked my friend for advice and he said to ask her to hang out and have coffee or something. I am feeling nervous about asking her out. So do you have any advice of what I should say to her and can you pray for me that I am not nervous to ask her out and that she says yes and goes out with me to hang out and talk? Thanks.

Well, I know I'm only 15, but I have been rejected by plenty of girls. First thing you ask yourself is "Is she a Christian." No girl is worth giving up God for. Second "Can you trust her?" My church youth group had something called love month talking about dating to sex. If an answer to one of the questions is "no" then just hang with her. I did that and me and my girlfriend have been dating for 2 years. Our 3 year anniversary will be in October. I pray for you Michael. Good Luck!

hey i know you'l be so nervous but be confident but not overly and most of all be yourself if she like that then she'l like you dont be shy about it and if your rejected (which u wont be) then God has some one better for ya!! always be optimistic about life n dating! (keeps ya saine lol) x

I am nervous but I know I can't turn back and not do it. I would regret it alot. Thanks Jelliebabies for your optimistic reply.

I am pretty sure I know what I will say to her but do you have any ideas. I am planning to say "I have been thinking lately that you'd like to get together sometime outside of school and go get coffee or something?"
What do you think of that? If you have another idea of what to say, say it. Thanks.

Ah - thats real cute.... it's always easier for you and the other person if you get to the point fairly quick - ie. dont go on and on for ages before asking but equally dont be to blunt like "want coffee sometime" as it shows shyness etc..

Mainly be yourself and say it how you'd say it to a girl mate in a non dating case... don't try and do it like we would cos well it'll be harder always thinking how too and just not you....

I think that would be a great thing to say!! That way there's not a whole lot of pressure for either of you but your intentions are obvious...tell us how it goes!!!
