Drugs, what are YOUR opinions on it?

I know we have a Marijuana thread on AY, but I think we need an all kind of drug thread.
Post your opinions on drugs, I think it is bad, and should be stopped!

drugs are bad. anything that influences differently is wrong...dont do it.

drugs, now thats a broad category. i started the marijuana thread because i wanted to know the consensus on that drug, and entire drug thread is kinda silly, first off define drug, is it a medical drug that has psycological effects (most do) in that case would you refuse to take it if it saved your life? as for recreational drugs i see no problem with people taking them in the privacy of their own homes, it can be done resposibly, it is when drugs are abused that problems occur. take magic mushrooms for an example, used resposibly it can broaden ones perspective of the world, ( i have to say i probly wouldn't be a christian right now if it weren't for mushrooms). good can come from all things, it is in how one uses or interprets things. and using drugs should be a personal descision not based off of peer pressure in either direction, if somone wants to experiment let them, if it gets out of hand tell them, but don't refuse freindship because of the problem, it only pushes them further away.

I'm talking about "bad" drugs: Marijuana, Heroine, Coccaine, Dope, etc. and also OTC drugs, and prescriptions.........

do you have any experiance with drugs? do you know what they actualy do to you?

also what is "it" ? by it do you mean all drugs? cus that would leave you pretty mad come cold sesson

Like a few of you have said it depeneds on what drugs we are talking about. I strongly believe that we should restrict unless nessecary the drugs weather it be recreational or prescribed that enter our bodies. I think that too many people get addicted and abuse them. The world doesn't really look down upon them and people talk so highly and we are curious so we tend to try them and once you try one you wonder what the other might be like and have a higher chance of more expiermenting. I have never tried drugs I don't feel the need to have to have something else change my outlook on things.

certin drugs are not for everyone
mushrooms for exaample in the right mind can be the key to a spiritual awakening.
in the bwrong head they can make you extremly scared and cause a bad trip

i think its importent to know all there is about drugs. the more you know arout these chemicals the more acuratly you can asses wether or not they pose any benifit to your life. getting th correct info on drugs can be hard.
especialy with sites like freevibe.com wich spred lies and propaganda about drugs.

www.erowid.org has every bit of info anyone could ever want on drugs and there effects on human culture. its an un biast source and its worth a look

erowid.org has been in my bookmarks for ages, where i learned how to grow my legal salvia plant!!!
but yea i am not going to say everyone out there go take drugs, but the propaganda and penalties against them do very little good. a lot of the abusers out there ( i know a lot of them) started because they wanted to break the rules, not a good way to start on any path, smoke weed for fun or to relax not to break the rules or fit in, leads to abuse. mushrooms should only be taken under circumstances where the person is at peace with themselves first, bad trips follow otherwise, salvia, don't reccomend that to the faint of heart, that one will mess you up good! i follow the philosophy of finding out all i can about something before i do it, i think its a good way to go, keeps you from doing silly things.

salvia is an intense severing of your soul from this world, not for the faint of heart!

but when ever i have come back from a salvi trip i always feel so renewed and awakened, like my spirit has been scrubed clean
