are we really dependent on guys?

i just can't help but to notice that 6 out of 7 thread titles in this forum has the word "GUYS" in it.. hmm.. just thought of pointing that out.. considering that this is a GIRLS section. but i guess guys is just a common ground for us, something we can rattle on and on about..

Yeah it's true!! I love hanging out with guys!! They R so funny and so simple!! They love hanging out with me too!! But most of all I love being with my almost-boyfriennd: Joshua!! I like him soo much!!! But I agree we should talk about other stuff too once in a while!!

I think that it's a major issue in the lives of many young women. We have questions and concerns...we're learning how things are meant to be. We want to make sure that we're doing the right things...and we want to make sure that we're learning and growing in the way that God wants for us to. Guys are such a huge part of our lives that it's a VERY important thing to talk about. Yes, there are a lot of other important things to talk about other than guys...but I think that it's understandable for that to be a main topic.

Pretty much all girls talk about with girls are guys! Example: OMG, did you see so-and-so pick up my pencil, it was so romantic! Isn't so-and-so adorable, he's such a babe!

LOL that cracks me up, how most girls think it's sooooo cool, how a guy looked at them or picked up something of theirs!

I think guys bring a whole new outlook to the world. It's awesome to have close guy friends and get their insight to a lot of things. They tend to be more realistic than some of the fantasy type girls. Guys are great! Even if we wished they were gone sometimes just try to imagine life without them. I mean if it wasn't for a man and a woman we wouldn't be lucky enough to be alive :P

I dont think we are dependent on men and I think its something that us girls should talk about. Thats the one good thing about this forum, its free and you are able to seek advice about anything, especially guys. In the Bible (cant think of who said it) but, one of the diciples said that we should all try to remain 'single' or, unmarried just like him...but if we feel that we wont be able to sustain from sin(sex) then we should get married. Marriage isnt a bad thing though. But, the word 'marriage' and also the word 'dating' or 'courting' (whichever you prefer) are used to loosely now and arent taken seriously. God didnt create 'dating' and 'marriage' just to have fun in it. Yeah, definately go out and have fun with guys! But dont date just to 'date' all the time. Having guy friends are awesome. I think every girl should have a guy friend that she can really trust but...thats almost impossible in this world today. I used to be able to joke around with guys about life and love, and now days...everytime I bring up the topic they automatically think Im totally head over heels for them and want to be with them....NO!!!! Thats whats wrong with society and I think thats another reason why we talk about guys so much. I used to have this awesome guy friend but everyone kept saying we liked each other and were going out with each other and..blah blah blah. And it broke up our friendship...not because of us, but because of everyone else. You CANNOT be friends with a guy in this world today with out SOMEONE thinking that you like each other. Its hard to be friends with guys sometimes...because, many of them dont understand that sometimes girls just want a really good friend...and friend that they can talk to about anything, a friend whos there to be a shoulder to cry on and a friend who can understand when its time to seperate and go your seperate ways. You wont ever have a guy thats going to be your best friend forever. Once you find the 'one' for you...that relationship with your best (guy) friend shouldnt totally end, but should simmer down a little, because then, you'll have your husband who should also be your best friend in the whole world, over ALL other men. I think we should talk about guys on here, its a nice thing to do because its nice to get our 'guy' troubles off our backs

I agree totally with Amy you can't have a guy friend without everyone else saying that you are "dating" and that sometimes leads to the friendship drifting apart. Personal expierence by the way. Guys are great when they are with the understanding you are just going to be friends because they give you a different outlook on a lot of things and it's great to hear from both the guys and the girls. I personally feel more comfortable talking to my guy friends about a lot of subjects than my girl friends.
