Edit Prophet/Prophetess ![]() | Should I go to prom with a girl I don't know? Hey, a friend of mine at church asked me to prom on behalf of his girlfriend's best friend. The best friend wants to go to prom with my friend's girlfriend since they're friends and the best friend is homeschooled so she can't go to prom at her school. She needs a guy to go with so she has somebody to dance with and not feel like a 3rd wheel, so my friend asked me if I'd want to come along. Now, I own a tuxedo that I look really good in, and I've only worn it once. It'd be nice to see prom, and I can always go again with a girl I'm actually dating if I have a girlfriend senior year. On the other hand, though I'm friends with the guy, I've never done anything with him outside of church, I really don't know his girlfriend and I don't know the girl I'd be coupled with at all. Granted, we'd meet before prom, and we talk to each other online, but... Plus, although it's a very slim chance, if some girl I already know asks me it'd be awkward if I told her I'm going with a girl I don't know instead. I dunno. I'm currently leaning towards going, but I'm not sure. Advice?

Edit Prophet/Prophetess ![]() | I think a prom is one of the most important nights of your high school life. I think you should spend it with a close friend or group of friends, someone that means something to you..rather than a complete stranger. There's my 2 cents.

Edit Prophet/Prophetess ![]() | I don't think you should go to the prom with ANYBODY YOU DO NOT KNOW!

Edit servant ![]() | I think you should pray aobut it. I think that this is one of those things where because your motives are pure, I think either one is acceptable, so just choose what you want to do. You could have a really great time! But make sure that you and her are on the same level....like, make sure that you're more of coming along as friends. You know? Be completely honest with her. If she's not that kind of girl that would take that honesty well, then my advice would be not to go. =D BUt yeah....I think you should pray about it.....but just do what you want to. If I were in your place, I would probably go. =D

And the Prom wouldn't be the first time I'd ever talk to her or see her; we'd meet before then...
