starting off on the wrong foot

I grew up feeling like one day at school they passed out the guide book to life and I was absent that day. My dad left us when I was 3 for another woman and I didn't see a whole lot of him through out the years. my immediate family is all crazy in our own ways,I didn't ever have any supervision. I decided to seek other things. At 9 i took my first drink and everything went down hill from there. I thought I had made it! something to make me feel so good so fast. as the years went on I started smoking pot and soon that wasn't good enough and so I did acid and meth. I got lost in sex drugs and rock n roll. at 13 I go to rehab for a month, move to texas, try to stay sober. I used got sober again, and then I stayed out for a year and a half. nothing changed. I got put in the program called lifeway for 3 years. the first time round I stayed sober for 11months and then well nothing ever changed I was the same girl without the dope. I ofcourse failed because of that, and used for 6 months. I fell in love with coke. I hated life myself and i thought it was everyone elses fault but my own.( I know I totally sound like an after school special here). I got busted and my mom, my councelors, and well God, ofcourse held me down long enough to love myself. so just before I get a year, this friend asked me if I wanted to goto church with him on easter, he was playing the drums. Well I guess he knew if he could only get me through the doors. I've been walking on with Jesus for over a year now. I got awakened from lifeway, I've been asked to help facilitate believe it or not. God willing I'll have 2 years on May 6th. I'm joyful for the first time ever, that hole can be filled by God, thats it. I like a good hefty daily dose to keep me going. well I depend on it. God keeps me sober, sane, and resonably easy to get along with(lol). My church rules, I'm a bit obsessed with music and it is definately the place to be. living the good life. it's a rollercoaster alright but that's life and being sober is like having my eyes open for it. I scream sometimes out of pain, sometimes out of joy, and sometimes just for fun. Living in God that's where it's at. I even can have a good time a remember the next day. lol.
