Edit Apostle ![]() | Fine line between Judging and NOt?!?! Okay so I picked up my little brother from school today...I rolled up with my christian music on and the windows down...There was no doubt that you could hear it from the outside....lol it was a good song....But anyways so I pull up and he tells me before he gets in to turn if off before he gets shot...implying that if he was caught around anything "christian" people would think other of him...Well I told him that he shouldn't be ashamed of God....then he got mad at me and told me that he liked me before I came to the Lord...Because I was like him...Swore, watched R rated movies...basiclly the me that didnt care for Jesus...I was like Dan ( thats his name ) that person that I was, was dying...We got into a discusion and all and I told him that maybe he shouldnt be doing the kinds of things he does...which maybe is judging IDK but I just want to know when am I judging him and when am I suppose to step in and say dan you arent suppose to be doing that kind of stuff....I am so confused....I need advice.... he also told me that he doesnt want to follow what I am doing and the he doesnt want to be apart of my religion...I told him (out of not judging him) that he doesnt HAVE to....but in the same since isnt he judging me too telling me that I should go back to the old dying me.....IM SOO CONFUSED....I HOPE SOMEBODY CAN UNDERSTAND!.......

Edit Prophet/Prophetess ![]() | Yeah I've heard this situation 1000 times... God IS NOT the author of CONFUSION....so dont be confused, just settle on the fact that there is an answer somewhere in the Word and you'll find it with patience, because patience produces endurance, and endurance produces HOPE... For your sake..PLAY YOUR MUSIC AS LOUD AS YOU WANT, Unbelievers ARE NOT going to like it @ ALL because they don't understand why you are the way you are, they won't and they can't. Anyway we can tell unbelievers if they are SINNING..we need to bring our light into the darkness.

Edit Disciple ![]() | I just want to share you this: (for more information) ^^ There are distinct differences between Condemnation and Conviction. Condemnation carries an air of finality and doom. It offers absolutely no hope or help for the offender. It is harsh, irrevocable judgment which ignores the mercy and grace of God and focuses solely upon the aspects of punishment and reprisal. It is futile, dead-end situation for the transgressor Conviction on the other hand, is merciful. It leads the offender to repentance. While condemnation is harsh and destructive, conviction is compassionate, rebuking and constructive. It leads the wrong-doer to recovery and restoration. Though God lovingly convicts us, He never condemns us when we are judged: "The Lord will not condemn him when he is judged" (Psalms 37:33)

Edit Prophet/Prophetess ![]() | Plus there are some things you can point out without even getting "all religious and new you" on him... such as swearing and havin a go at ppl puts them down and hurts... its a human fact! But at the end of the day, if he don't wana discuss stuff just tell him you wont push... but if he ever wants to talk etc... (unless God makes it obv. its time to push - but by then you'll KNOW so it wont be an isssue ya know?) |

Edit Prophet/Prophetess ![]() | I agree with with those who have posted so far. And nice way of putting it Keen I strongly agree with Chette. Many do not get that there is a difference between condemnation and conviction. Sinners and saint need conviction in their life but never condemnation.
