I need help!

hello, im new and im hoping this will help me with things that are going on in my life.. i have been dealing with manything through out my life. and ive been cutting for the last couple months. Im trying to stop and its very hard for me and i keep going back to the knife. can anyone help me stop?

I'm not really good with these things. I haven't gone through it, so I don't fully understand why. However, when I read your post, something just popped into my head: you don't have to be cut and bleed to get rid of your pain....Jesus already did that, and he did that for YOU.

Hey hun,

I know how hard it is to stop cutting.... try find a positive outlet for your emotions. like writing, drawing, talking to friends (about anything). When you feel like cutting go be around people even if you don't feel like it because it will help you stop. Iwill be praying for you. feel free to pm or email me if you need to talk.

AJ is right. Jesus already done that. He done that for all of us. You too. I don't know much about cutting either, but someone I knew done it. She got a infection from it. Be very careful. Instead of cutting, get a group of friends and take a walk or just go to the mail and just shop or hang out. Anyway, I'm not much on giving advice. I will pray for you. Find a friend you can fone or text during hte tempting lonely and painful moments. Norm in the middle of night or when can't sleep i guess? Can i ask which reason you cut for then i might be able to offer more specific advice and encouragement.

i cut for many reason. frustration, stresss, sad, mad. ive even started doing it because i cant sleep and it relaxes me..

hmmm - but you want to stop right? I mean - cutting leaves more than the physical scarrs but a temptation and emotional ones...

For stress relief the only real way to de-stress is God's total peace. Only thing is i can't give it too you. Hold out against this addictive relief form your choosing. IF you want to stop you can. I wish i could help you not only hear but understand all thats going thru my head! But basically the sum total is - God is a healer of hurts, a peace giver, a father/mother to the fatherless/motherless, a friend to the friendless, a joy everlasting, the best thing you could ever hope for, the soveriegn Lord. I don't know if you even know him - but he will help you out your hole of pain if you ask no matter whether you've never spoken or used to have a real strong relationship. FOr nothing can seperate you from the Love of God. Of course its not that straight forward as we have to realise we done wrong things - but ultimately just as i can't stand hearing that your hurting so much your cutting - he can't stand it even more. It's like a dagger thru his heart. He cares deep and wants to see you so so so happy again.

You can be free of this - before you implied you want to be. I encourage you - dont give in - one step at a time and you'll make it - it just might take God's strength as well as yours!
