You, O Lord are worthy!

We come before Your holy presence,
Hearts humbled, surrendered, submitted.
We marvel at Your magnificence.
We can’t understand why we are loved.

Chorus
You, O Lord are worthy!
Far greater than deserved,
Is Your patience, mercy,
And love, that’s on us poured.

Woe to our uncleanness before You!
We cry for revival and cleansing.
Words we use can’t describe our heart to
Our God Almighty. For You we sing!

Can we sing of the greatness of God,
And then tire of what we utter?
No! cries my innermost heart and soul.
The Shepherd that guides us with His rod,
Leads us through frontier, we’ve together
Traveled through, preparing to be whole.

I will ponder of what you have done.
As I realize more of Your great plan,
Mysteries are revealed through Your Son.
The Son of God, Jesus, Son of Man.

Soon, when You return to take us there,
Your vast love will surge through my dead heart!
We will sing rejoicing in the air.
Nothing, no nothing can make us part.

TRUE FREEDOM

Freedom lives within my heart
Because I’ve been made dead
Jesus freely gave His part
And by His hand I’m led

Dead to sin and free in Christ
To follow Jesus’ will
All my sin forever lost
Because of Cal’vry’s hill

Daily I take up my cross
Sin, and grief let go
Refining out the ugly dross
He makes my life to glow

so far, i still haven't gotten around to writing music for the first. the second isn't really a song.

Here I Am, Use Me

Sleep won’t come again tonight.
I can tell something isn’t right.
My focus is getting blurry.

O God, I let you down again.
You do despise my ev'ry sin.
How could I bear to hurt You so?
Boundless--is the vast debt I owe.

Contrite and humble, I repent.
Tears fall in sorrowful lament.
He hears and faithfully forgives.
My soul is filled with peace that lives!

Where would I be without Your grace,
That day by day I must embrace?
Your love--I cannot understand--
Why do You hold me in your hand?

I close my prayer in thanks to You.

I give my heart, teach me Your ways!

I wrote a tune for the above lyrics. It sounds kinda like a hymn written about 1840. :P

Why Not Forgive?

When anger’s living in my heart,
Consuming me day to day,
Simply ignoring won’t even start,
To take the feelings away.

Sometimes I just can’t really love,
I hold all my hurt inside.
But grace is given from above,
And for all my sin Jesus died.

An image of Christ I display,
When by God’s grace I forgive.
The bitterness and hurt can’t stay,
There’s no room for them to live!

I feel so happy and fulfilled,
Since now I have forgiven.
My joyfulness cannot be hid,
A new day has just risen!

Wonderful is the forgiveness,
Jesus freely gave to me.
I’m foolish to not be gracious,
When by grace He set me free!
