Damaris
Edit servant ![]() | most thanked posts Ok so I was looking through the archives the other day and noticing that there are a lot of really good posts that people got thanked a lot for because the post was just so awesome and helpful....but then they get buried in the archives and the newcomers don't get to see these awesome posts. Or to apply it more personally, I do't get to see these posts when I try and hunt them down in the archives! So I was thinking what if we had a closed forum where no one posted, but it just contained the most thanked posts...like you know those ones with 8 or so people thanking the poster. Dunno, whadaya think? ![]()

is learning JQuery.
Edit ~me~ ![]() | I think it's a really great idea... but would be a lot of maintanence as I can't think of how to code it to do it automatically. Still I vote yes

Edit Prophet/Prophetess ![]() | Tia, isn't there something in the "thank" PHP that could be counted by JavaScript? It seems like when the first person thanks it would get a name, say, "thank1," and the next would be "thank2," etc. When thank2 is added, can't there be JavaScript to say "thank++"? Then when thank > x, more server-side JS could moderate the thread to the Thanked Posts forum. I'm not sure if you can get your fingers that deep into the code or not, but it seems plausible if you can. Obviously, I'm all for it.
