Thumbs up A Must Read...

This topic is a place to post books you feel are must reads for others... Please limit your posts to books, authors, and why you feel they are good for others.

I will start with 2...

1. Be Intolerant - Because Some Things Are Just Stupid by: Ryan Dobson
This book is excellent for today's teens, parents, and Youth workers. It discusses the trap that most of us have fallen into - TOLERANCE! It is a deceitful trap...

2. The Chronicles of Narnia (all 7 books) by: C.S. Lewis This series is a great fantasy series packed FULL of Godly and Biblical things. It is really fun reading these and seeing the Biblical wisdom and truth that come out of each book!

True Devotion, True Valor, True Courage by Dee Henderson.
^ My brother picked these books out for me. They are good for ppl who have loved ones in the ARMY, SEALS, NAVY, AIR FORCE. Beware, they are fictious romance. <I can't believe my brother picked romance books for me> The quality of the writing is alright. If you aren't familiar with this kind of backround/lifestyle then it would be hard to understand exactly what they are talking about.

Dee Henderson has made many other series. I've heard they all are good.

This Present Darkness, Peircing the Darkness, The Oath..... anything by Frank Peretti.
His books rock! Two give explicite details of angels and how they play their role in our life and things. The spiritual battles are very detailed. Another one talks about a dragon and sin.... No one can really explain it but, man, his books are awesome! He has such a visual anointing of the spiritual part of our lives. He puts it so clearly. He is a must read. <you'll be sucked in by the 4th chapter>

Blink, Heaven's Wager, <there's more> by Ted Dekker.
He is a gifted writer. Heaven's Wager gives a clear detailing of God and Satan battling over a man's life. The man's story is kinda like Job, Satan took everything away from Job to prove God that he could make a righteous man turn away from God. Except, it is the other way around. Satan tries to show God that he can keep an unchristian man from turning to God. Blink is a wonderful book too. It talks about a man who doesn't understand the logic behind us being created by one God, and how he thinks Evolution is completely out of the question and is wrong. So he is in a spot where he is trying to find truth to his life when he is given supernatural powers. That throws his life into a rollercoaster ride. He is also trying to hide a sheik princess from marrying into an ugly situation. He is a must read.

I'll post more books later.... I LOVE TO READ!!!

I'd say "The Testament" by John Grisham. It's a suspense novel that also presents SAlvation etc. It's a great book!

Since no one ever really likes the books I read.. (they say it's too 'heavy..' cha..)
I guess I'll post something a little lighter.

A Wrinkle In Time - Madeleine L'Engle
Mostly a fantasy book with a cool unicorn. lol It's hard to explain, but it really is a great book. (there's three in the set).

The Gulag Archipelgo - Aleksandr Soltzhenitsyn
A great book if you're interested in the Gulag Archipelago. Truly a classic. =)
