Through the bible in 30 days!

Alright, so perhaps this isn'tthe right place for this, but I'm doing my best!

As the title states, I think it would be awesome to read through the entire bible in 30 days. I read in one Godly woman's blog that she did it, and she talked aobut how when you read quickly its so much easier to make connections and such.

So how about it? Anyone want to join me in the challange? I won't be starting yet....probably in about three weeks, because I don't want to spend all my time reading when I've got continuous company over. BUt honestly...it summer, you guys have more free time....anyone at all?

It averages out to about 42 pages per day.

Anyway, I just figured I'd post this now and give you all plenty of time to think about it and feel guilty for not joining me in it until you finally give in.

I suppose I should share why I want to do it. Basically I have a really hard time keeping any sort of a schedule with reading my bible, and I think this would be really good for me. It's a physical challange but a spiritual one as well. I think the hardest thing for me will be wanting to stop and overanalyse everything, because that's the way I've been reading the bible for the last 7 years. This would be a healthy change....so that instead of pondering single verses I will get a better look at the big picture. In essence, some people go to camp or something for a change in their spiritual life. I do things like challange myself to read through the bible in 30 days. =P

So anyone want to do it with me? It would help to have some acocuntability!

I think I'm interested. I've done the 90 thing before, that's ~12 pages a day... I think I can try this.

Count me in

This might be crazy, but hey why not!

I really wish I had the determination to do that. I still haven't started my 90 day program. I will attempt to go along with you and do my best to keep up!

See, that's the beauty of it! If you're going through one of the hard books....say, Leviticus or something, you know that you'll only be in that book for 2 or 3 days before you move on to somehting different.

Well I'm planning on starting in *about* two weeks...a friend will be visiting me for a week and a half and I'd rather not be reading my bible the entire time. =P Also I'm not sure how ill her visit is going to make me, so obviously if I get really ill I won't be starting then.

And if it works better for you to begin earlier....do let any of us hold you back! Although it would be cool to all start at the same time, it might not be very practical for some of you.

Maybe even once we get going we can post on this thread what we read and something we lerarned our whatever.....thanks for all of your participation guys! I'm so excited aobut this! It's gonna be awesome.
