pbpbbff help please!

Hey,
Could anyone with experience in phpbb or preferably phpbbff please help me?

I just started my forum this morning, and Im still learning how it all works. I have it set so that I must activate accounts (so that any unwanted ppl wont be signing up). My first member this afternoon joined and followed all the right steps. It sent me an e-mail telling me to follow a link to activate it, but when I do, it says that page doesnt exist. I tried it on two different browsers...

I dont know whats wrong. Is there a place in the admin CP that I can go to to activate it manually or something?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Could be a missing file. Can you give us a link to the page?

In the admin cp, look for 'user admin', then click on 'user management'. Type the username in the blank, and click 'look up user'. Near the very bottom of the page, look for 'User is active', and select 'yes'.

Could you post a link to your forum? If you'd rather not make it a public link yet you can send it to those who have replied in a PM. My guess... is that you have the incorrect configuration so the link in the email goes to the wrong place and that would also cause problems with the administration panel.

Ok, the problem is that I have it set to private, so yall would only be able to see like the shout box and I cant change it cause i cannot log in, but its here: http://tcheteens.s10.forumsplace.com/

I thought maybe I could get something done if I registered, but the confirmation code didn't exist at the URL referenced. I think you have either one big problem or a whole lot of problems of assorted sizes and flavors (yes, every problem has a flavor). I think you need to get a hold of TCHE or whoever.

Could someone please help me? I cant get on any of the support forums for phpbb, and this needs to be up this week. Everytime I put in the script path and save it, it erased.
this is soo frustrating.

Just out of curiosity... Do you have secure cookies enabled?

I accidentally enabled that on my phpbb forum (http://firebynite.net/forum) and my hosting company had to help me get the mess it caused straight

(they did it for free which was awesome)

Nope, they are disabled.

Ok, i think I may have found the problem. Its on the "Script Path". Everytime I enter it in and save it, it erases it. ??
