The Light of Things Hoped For is the second CD made by Brave Saint Saturn, made up of the members from the band Five Iron Frenzy. It is made up of songs that have a darker side, yet are filled with hope. The genre of this CD and band is a brand new one, astro-rock. The CD starts out with the narrator, Jen Hollingsworth. Talking about "Like how pause before waking, sleep is replaced by light, and life and hope.... The hope that; though the dark may come, the sun (Son) also rises" It has songs that talk about "The Sun (Son) also rises lighting our paths and driving the darkness away" to "You (God) lift my battered soul, You (God) mend my broken wings together" And so much more. I recommend this one for those people out there looking for something new in rock music. |
